The Property Market Gets Mobile
Category About Leapfrog
As mobile technology keeps improving more and more people are using their phones to connect, search and even purchase items. Real estate agents are finding that home buyers spend less time going through newspapers’ property sections and more time house hunting online. In fact up to 40% of local property searches are made from cell phones.
“The world is changing and we’re changing with it – at Leapfrog it’s always been our goal to make it as easy as possible for buyers to find their ideal home. Making use of the latest in mobile technology is part of keeping that promise,” says Bruce Swain, MD of Leapfrog Property Group.
Why a mobile site?
It might not be obvious to those who only search online using their computers but most websites aren’t designed to be read on smaller screens – making it difficult for users to read it if they’re searching via their cell phones.
“You’ve got to advertise where clients are searching and these days that increasingly via mobile phone so if you’re to stay relevant you’ve got to be accessible on a cell phone,” says Swain.
A new site with great features
Now buyers can use the Leapfrog mobi site to search for properties near them as well as properties on show in their area and get property email alerts (should they want them). The new site will also make it so much easier to search for and view properties online by allowing buyers to:
- View images and video footage of the property
- View the floor plans
- See a street view
- Get the distance and driving time
- View the agent’s details and office directions
Sellers will also be able to list their properties with Leapfrog in a few clicks – quickly and easily.
Swain shares that “We’re really pleased that buyers and sellers will be able to access all of the information and quick features of a full website from their phones, no matter where they are.”
