Direct Marketing
In accordance with Section 69 of POPIA and the Consumer Protection Act (including the 2026 Amendment Regulations), we will only send you unsolicited electronic direct marketing communications where:

- You are an existing client and the communication relates to similar products or services, and you have been given a clear and easy opportunity to opt out.
You have the right to opt out of direct marketing at any time. Every marketing communication we send will include a clear and accessible opt-out or unsubscribe mechanism. If you have registered on the National Consumer Commission (NCC) opt-out registry, we will remove you from our active marketing database during our monthly database cleansing process, as required by the amended CPA Regulations effective April 2026.

Disclosure of Your Personal Information

- Bond originators and home loan partners (e.g., BetterBond/BetterLife): Where you have indicated a need for home loan assistance and have consented to the referral.
- Conveyancing attorneys: Where a property transaction has been concluded and transfer or bond registration is required.
- Third-party service providers: Including our CRM platform providers, website hosting companies, email marketing platforms, and analytics providers, who are contractually bound to process your information only as instructed by us and in compliance with POPIA.
- Regulatory and law enforcement authorities: Where required to do so by law, court order, or in the legitimate exercise of our legal obligations (including FICA compliance).
Where we share your information with third parties, we take appropriate steps to ensure that those parties are subject to comparable data protection obligations.

- Enquiry and lead data: Retained for up to 24 months from the date of last engagement, unless a transaction results or you request earlier deletion.
- Transaction records (sale, purchase, or rental): Retained for a minimum of 5 years in accordance with statutory and professional obligations.
- FICA documentation: Retained for a minimum of 5 years following the conclusion of the transaction, as required by the Financial Intelligence Centre Act.
- Marketing consent records: Retained for the duration of the marketing relationship and for a reasonable period thereafter to demonstrate compliance.
Once your personal information is no longer required, we will take appropriate steps to securely delete, destroy, or de-identify it.
Security of Your Personal Information
We take the protection of your personal information seriously and implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard it against loss, unauthorised access, misuse, alteration, or destruction. These measures include:
