My name is Jethro van Niekerk, a Property Practitioner with Leapfrog Property Group Roodepoort, registered with the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA). My journey into real estate is shaped by a diverse background in travel, heritage studies, and entrepreneurship, giving me a unique perspective on people, places, and the meaning of “home.”

After matriculating, I spent a gap year travelling internationally, an experience that broadened my understanding of cultures, connection, and belonging. I later completed a Bachelor of Heritage & Cultural Studies at the University of Pretoria, majoring in Archaeology, Anthropology, and Heritage & Cultural Tourism.

In 2010, I co-founded a travel business with my father, built on a shared passion for the outdoors. This venture taught me resilience, business discipline, and the importance of long-term relationships. Although the business was scaled down during the Covid-19 period, it became a foundational chapter in shaping my entrepreneurial mindset.

My transition into real estate was unplanned but natural. In 2023, I was encouraged by a family member to consider property as a career, recognising my empathy, integrity, and people-focused approach. Since then, I have fully committed to the industry and have not looked back.

I specialise in property sales and rentals in Ferndale, Kensington B, Daniel Brinkpark, Malanshof, and surrounding areas. My focus is on helping sellers achieve successful sales outcomes and assisting landlords in securing reliable, well-matched tenants.
